Dabinett

Lewis Creek Orchard Reserve

Dabinett, discovered in a Somerset hedgerow in the early 1900s, is one of the quintessential bittersweet apples of England's West Country cider tradition. Known for its exceptionally high tannin levels, eating this apple is a bit like sucking on a tea bag. While not the ideal eating apple, it excels in crafting deeply expressive, full-bodied cider. This single-varietal cider is rich and complex, unveiling robust flavors of baked apple, caramel, and dark berries, along with the classic bittersweet nuances of hay and leather.
